Friday 22 – Monday 25 September 23: Wynberg’s Ian Melliar Cup Water Polo Tournament returns, bigger than ever! SA’s premier U15 water polo tournament welcomes 24 teams over 4 days of competition – 100 matches across 4 groups at 2 venues to determine the ultimate winner.

Proudly sponsored by Remax Premier, the tournament remains true to its roots as the only school event of its kind where every match is managed by fully qualified referees and played under exacting FINA rules. This 16th edition of the tournament is set up to be a cracker of a competition with the best of schoolboy polo on display throughout at both the Wynberg Boys’ High and Junior Aquatic Centres, with the final position matches scheduled for the WBHS pool on Monday 25 September.

With a Tournament Village at the WBHS venue for players and spectators, including food and product stalls, music, free WiFi, and big-screen TVs – and our Old Boys’ Bill Bowden Pavilion will be open for the World Cup SA vs Ireland match on the big screen on Saturday 23 September – our Wynberg hospitality will be at full throttle to welcome everyone to ‘make a weekend of it’ here on our campus.
