Wynberg Swimming
Swimming Overview
Swimming at Wynberg has steadily developed over the years, with the quality of swimmers produced at Wynberg going from strength to strength. Wynberg continues to break numerous records at inter-school galas, as well as at National Competitions. The Wynberg swimmers often compete at national and even international levels, such as former students Seddon Keyter and Corne Swanepoel, who went on to represent South Africa and New Zealand respectively in the Olympic Games. Wynberg Swimming forms a proud part of the school’s sporting tradition and we are confident that the years to come will only see our swimmers develop and go from strength to strength.
Wynberg hosts one of the eight Inter-school galas held over the two summer terms and participates in the annual Newlands A League Gala, which involves all schools in the circuit.
