From the Magazine Editorial:
South Africa already faces the daunting task of creating a society that will provide a social, political and economic place in the sun for all its citizens. However, unless this is accompanied by a determined effort to conserve our wildlife and natural environment, there will be little left of our beautiful land for future generations to enjoy.
As the educators of tomorrow’s adult citizens, our schools have a vital role to play in ensuring that our young people go out into life with a passionate concern tor the preservation of our natural heritage and an acute awareness of the fact that, when man ceases to care for his natural environment, he is being both short-sighted and self-destructive.
