Wynberg Rugby Old Boy Sikhumbuzo Notshe to wear his old school 1st XV socks for the Barbarians vs the Pumas at Twickenham

Wynberg Rugby Old Boy Sikhumbuzo NotsheSaturday 1 December 2018: Congratulations to Old Wynbergian, Sikhumbuzo Notshe (Springboks & Stormers), on his selection for the Barbarians Squad against the Pumas. In a salute to Wynbergians around the globe Notshe will proudly wear his #WynbergRugby 1st XV socks at Twickenham, likely the first time our kit has made an international appearance on that hallowed field.

Ever-supportive of his old school, Notshe is also no stranger to giving back to grassroots rugby in South Africa, recently teaming up with fellow old boy, Tim Connellan (1985) to assist Lagunya RFC with new club strip, sponsored by international legal firm, Linklaters.

In this season of giving, and with WBHS new boys' rugby day coinciding with with the Baa-baa's match, Wynberg Rugby outreach launches our 2019 #Boots4Berg drive to collect good, used boots and rugby training equipment for our development projects. We appeal to our Wynberg Families and Old Boys to give as generously as in previous years to help those less fortunate.

#Boots4Berg is an outreach project across all Wynberg Sports: for more information on how to contribute, please email our Vice-Principal of Sport, Mr Mike Engelbrecht, mengelbrecht (@) wbhs.org.za.

"The Barbarian Football Club founded in 1890, usually called the Barbarians and nicknamed the Baa-Baas, is an invitational rugby union team based in Britain. The Barbarians play in black and white hoops, though players wear the socks from their own club strip" www.barbarianfc.co.uk

#WynbergMedia - with grateful thanks to Old Boys Sikhumbuzo Notshe (2012), and 1985 classmates (who share a birthday) Tim Connellan and Pete van Schalkwyk.
