Congratulations to Matric student Yaseen Hamdulay on winning bronze in the SA Computer Olympiad 2011. At the award ceremony on 5th September attended by the Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille, and the MEC for Education, Donald Grant, Yaseen – who was placed 6th in South Africa – received a cash prize for both himself and the school from the sponsors, The Shuttleworth Foundation.

Yaseen was one of a team of four students who represented South Africa in the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Thailand in July 2011. He plans to study a B.Sc (Computer Science) at UCT next year.
