WYNBERG CAMPUS OF SCHOOLS COLLECT R95 000 FOR VOLUNTEER WILDFIRE SERVICES

Monday morning saw the heads of the four Wynberg Campus of Schools hand over a cheque for R95 000 to the Volunteer Wildfire Services.  Wynberg Boys’ High and Junior and Wynberg Girls High and Junior schools collected for one day only and through generous donations from the learners, parents, families and friends, raised a staggering R95 000.  Keith Richardson (WBHS), Shirley Harding (WGHS), Dee Cawcutt (WGJS) and Cedric Poleman (WBJS) all expressed their gratitude towards the VWS for their hard work and dedication.

The cheque was handed over to volunteers Julie Gardiner and Adrian Marnewick.  All the funds raised will be invested by VWS and used to help fight future fires.  They were extremely grateful for the donation and outpouring of public support.  Any additional donations may be made directly into their account:
