Wynberg wins the Villagers 7s Tournament 2011

Wynberg entered two sides in this tournament which took place at Brookside on 2 September 2011. Unfortunately, our B team were knocked out in the second round by Bishops B, but we’re thrilled to report that our A side beat Bishops in the final by 31-17, having beaten Rondebosch in the semis.

Wynberg last won the tournament in 2008. Congratulations to our boys and their coach.

A reminder to all rugby fans that Wynberg has two teams taking part in this year’s tournament.

Our A side won it in 2008 and lost in the semi’s last year. Our B side was knocked out quite early in the Tournament in 2010, We’re looking to improve on these results and urge all fans to come out and support us! The 1st round times are as follows:

• 12h50 : Wynberg A vs Voortrekker
• 12h20 : Wynberg B vs Zwaanswyk
