Grey Weekend: ‘Wynberg Says No to Xenophobia’

Wynberg Boys' High School Grey Weekend 2015

Making new friends at Grey Weekend: U14A Hockey players meeting ‘off the Astro’

Wynberg Boys’ High School is proudly South African and supports the Constitutional right of everyone to respect, tolerance and an education.  Part of our ethos is embracing our diversity,  understanding our different cultures and forging new long lasting friendships, strengthening the links between our ‘Brothers in an Endless Chain’.

When our RCL (Representative Council of Learners) suggested a show of solidarity against Xenophobia, the school senior management embraced the idea with enthusiasm.

This weekend marks the 20th annual Wynberg Grey Cultural Exchange and Sporting Derby and with the support of Grey’s Rector, Neil Crawford and Wynberg’s Headmaster, Keith Richardson, the two schools will make a groundswell statement of solidarity against xenophobia immediately prior to the commencement of each of the 1st team matches over the weekend.

Wynberg’s Sisipho Fongoqa (Grade 12) and Michael Kievits (Grade 11) will lead the call to the players, families, friends and Old Boys.

Wynberg Boys’ High School says NO TO XENOPHOBIA.
