Wynberg returns the hospitality shown us by Grey High School after visiting Port Elizabeth last year as we welcome our friends and rivals from the Eastern Cape to the Mother City over the weekend of 7 – 9 May 2015.
This is one of the biggest events in our school calendar and a very exciting weekend for our boys who get to test their skill and determination against another great boys’ school from the Eastern Cape. It is not only a weekend of sport, but an opportunity to bring the members of our school together as they support one another and sing in unison in this tough derby clash
Beyond the traditional rugby and hockey fixtures, tennis, squash, surfing, chess and golf matches will be held on Friday 8 May, with our cross-country runners taking the field on Saturday morning.
Continuing friendships made over two decades of this annual sporting and cultural exchange, our Wynberg Old Boys will take on Old Grey at golf to round off a bumper weekend of friendship, rivalry and competition.
