Wynberg Boys' High School Choir

Wynberg Boys’ High School Choir: performing at the Cape Town City Hall

Wynberg has for decades been well known for its outstanding Music Department with the school choir being an integral part of this tradition of excellence. The choir is aimed at encouraging a love for singing and choral music as well as providing an outlet for boys who love music but cannot read it.

The size of our choir fluctuates but this year it stands at 40 boys, and we also have a Vocal Ensemble comprising 10 boys who are selected by the Choirmaster.

Wynberg Choir Festival
This sell-out festival of choral music was re-introduced by Mr Botha in 2009 and featured the Cape Welsh Choir plus a minimum of seven local schools. It has grown from strength to strength and in 2013, included the University of Cape Town Choir and UCT Jazz Choir.
