Benjamin Nyakanyala, our Service Prefect, gets recognition for his contribution to “Service” by being selected as one of the six finalists in the Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award. |
The Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award was founded in America in 1993 to recognise young people in New Mexico, who have gone out of their way to bring positive change to their communities and/or the world at large. This has now been extended to South Africa and the first annual Award event was hosted on August 23rd at the CTICC . Benjamin did not win this prestigious award, but we are nevertheless very proud that he was chosen as a finalist. He has made a wonderful contribution to Service at Wynberg Boys' High School this year.

17 August 2008: The One-to-One Fair is an annual event for handicapped people from the Western Cape. This year’s event took place on 17 August 2008 at the Good Hope Centre with thousands of guests and their helpers attending.
It was an extremely colourful affair; spirits were high and the atmosphere electric, with ample entertainment for all.
A group of enthusiastic Wynberg Girls and Boys provided a very professional face-painting service. Spiderman was in high demand but when it came to butterflies and flowers, we relied on the Wynberg Girls.
Everyone young and old, guests and volunteers, enjoyed this awesome event. Our thanks to the organisers, the project convenor, Albert Glass and Wynberg Girls’ High who helped to make the day an all- round success.
