We congratulate our 1st XV on their 25 - 14 victory over Pretoria Boys' High in their first match of the Easter Festival.
Tries by Kieran Goss, Ryan Lok, Noer Davids, Andrew Williams and a penalty from Tyronne Bloor secured a postive start to the Wynberg Rugby Season - well done to the team and coaching staff.

Recent events in Kenya, and more specifically at the University of the Free State, have been a slap in the face for most South Africans. These happenings have come as timeous reminders that we can take nothing for granted in life. Unthinking and arrogant actions by emotionally immature students from the University of the Free State have exploded us out of our Rainbow Nation complacency. It brought home to us, yet again, that we live in an imperfect world and that we all have to work continually at our relationships in every aspect of our lives.

Wynberg Boys High is going big on this: we would like to be the school that wins the handsome cash prize for the greatest percentage of learners in the school who write the Olympiad.
What is in it for the learners - a chance to win cash prizes- the top three in each grade country-wide win prizes.
At worst it is an opportunity to learn and is something to put on your cv one day.
The quiz is multiple choice and will be written on 20 May - we will make sure that it does not interfere with exams- it can be written immediately after the end of the last exam that day.
The Entry fee is R15 - payable to either your tutor or to Mrs. Lourens. Entries must include the learner’s name, House and tutor. Entries close 18 April 2008

This is the first time in a number of years where the Wynberg Rugby and Hockey teams will be playing over the Easter Weekend in Johannesburg' at St Stithians and King Edward School respectively. Old Boys and friends are very welcome to come and support their old school.
Headmaster, Keith Richardson, will be attending and looks forward to meeting many old faces on the touchline.

We congratulate our bands on their superb performances in the Clash of the Concertos at the V & A Waterfront over the past fortnight - Old Boys, family and friends can take pride in the efforts of Messrs. Catzavelos, Botha and King and the talents of the Wynberg musicians.

Wednesday 5 March had old boys turning out for cricket and waterpolo against the boys - always a great afternoon of cameraderie with this year's highlight being 3 generations of the Bing family padded up on the Silverhurst Oval.
