| Careers Evening 2008 |
 |
One of the most frequent questions posed to Matrics is also one of the most difficult to answer. “What do you want to do after school?” With such a bewildering array of options and choices, it is very difficult to decide on the path you want to follow for the rest of your life at the tender age of seventeen or eighteen. |
The Careers evening held at Wynberg Boys’ High on the 20th February went a long way towards solving this dilemma. Despite being held on a sweltering summer evening, it was an extremely well attended and highly spirited event.
Pupils from the Campus Schools as well as pupils from Wynberg Senior Secondary High, a school with whom Wynberg has a partnership, were presented with the opportunity to browse around the hall, decked with a riot of colourful banners and posters advertising various tertiary study options. Or, if they wanted inside information about a particular career, they could listen to one of the many experts on various careers, from Sports Science to Law. All in all, the Careers evening was a resounding success, with boys and girls picking up a huge amount of very valuable information.
Many thanks must go to Mr Galant and Mrs Kelly for organising the event and ensuring its amazing success. Perhaps after this highly informative event, Matrics will be better armed when next someone asks “What do you want to do when you leave school?”

| Open Days 2008 |
| Two Open Days took place recently where prospective pupils and parents of the school were able to look around the school under the enthusiastic guidance of one of the current pupils.
Parents had an opportunity to see much of the school in action as well as listen to music from the school bands. After tea, the afternoon culminated with a talk about Wynberg and the Wynberg Brand from the Headmaster and a number of the pupils.
Any parents who were unable to attend but would like a tour, must contact the Admissions' Secretary Mrs van der Rheede. All information for new pupils may be downloaded by clicking on New Parent Info
Please note that closing date for applications is : 20 March 2008.
