A Wynberg Old Boys' Charity Event

All credit to the Wynberg Old Boys' Union who organised a Charity Garden Party on Sunday 20 April.   It was held in the beautiful lawns of Silverhurst with the proceeds being donated to various old boys in need.

With some of the audience dressing up in the spirit of a Victorian Garden Party, they were entertained for two and half hours by the bands of Wynberg playing from the various verandahs of the 1881 stately home.  The Steel Drum Band (Keenan Olifant), the Concert Band (Peter Catzavelos), the Jazz Band (Morgan King) and Marco Titus' solo all added up to a superb afternoon.  Even the weather smiled on us.

All credit and thanks to the Ladies Association, who organised the tea and snacks, the Old Boys Union who drove the event and to the Wynberg Musicians who provided the entertainment.

Listening to music to the backdrop of Silverhurst and Table Mountain was a privilege.

Raising R21 000 was the cherry on the top.
