Our Vision

With all the talents among the members of De Waal we should be the number one House in the school. Many members might be reluctant to make use of these talents as they do not see themselves as important. One way to solve this is to build relationships amongst the boys in the House and help the incoming members of De Waal to know that they are a part of something special, a close Wynberg community.

De Waal also needs to bring home the Friedlander Shield to where it should be.

Our Goals

• To create a sense of pride and passion in every member which can be reflected in other pillars of Wynberg.
• To have every student know that he is of equal importance to the House as any other member.
• Make use of the various talents of members in order to win the Friedlander Shield.
• Get the House seniors to play a larger role in enabling the incoming Grade 8s to experience a strong sense of belonging.
• Closely monitor the academics and discipline in the House to ensure learners are persevering.
• To have a regular House event where members can build on relationships and most importantly have fun with fellow members.
