The Conductor of our Concert Band, Mr Catzavelos, as well as our Cultural Prefect Stephen Bell and band member Sindile Bongela, had the privilege of meeting the brilliant, and world renowned Russian trumpeter, Sergei Nakariakov, after his recent concert at the Baxter Theatre.
Stephen Bell and Sindile Bongela had the opportunity to go to a two hour master class presented by the famous Russian trumpet player Sergei Nakariakov. He is undoubtably one of the best trumpet players in the world. Various students played for him and he was able to comment on their playing and give ideas to improve their playing. He also played their pieces.
His playing is superb and it was reallty wonderful to watch this maestro in action.
