Inter House & Inter Class
This year the whole school system has changed from being
grade based to being house based with the vertical system.
This means that the manner in which some of our cultural
activities have been functioning will have to change.
Singing
Interclass singing will no longer work properly, so we propose
to turn this into an evening event. Each house will select
a small group of singers and musicians from any grade to
perform a song that evening. This performance will be judged
and there will be awards for various categories including
best house performance, much the same as the one act plays.
Public Speaking
Public speaking will still be done in grades so that the
competition can be kept fair.
For grades 10, 11 and 12 the competition will be run during
an English lesson. The two best speakers in each class will
take part in the competition.
For grades 8 and 9 a lesson will be set aside during school
for each grade to have the competition. The boys taking
part will also be the two best speakers from each English
class.
Inter House One Act Plays
There will be Inter House plays, which will take place in
the second term. This will be an evening event held over
two nights. A visitor, in the field of drama, will adjudicate
each play and the winning play will take part in the Inter
Schools One Act Play Festival.
