ARTS & CULTURE EVENING 2003
The annual Arts and Culture evening was held on Tuesday
22 August and once again guests and parents observed Wynberg’s
high quality of art, drama and music.
The evening kicked off with an art exhibition, displaying
the high standard of work that the matrics and other pupils
are producing in the art department. The steel band entertained
the audience during the exhibition with their vibrant and
original tunes.
Then the drama department flung into action with the junior
and senior eisteddfod participants performing their humorously
entertaining ‘creative adverts’ The next musical
item was from the concert band, which serenaded the audience
with their wonderful melodies and fine tuned musical pieces.
The choir followed and with it came the high standard of
song and harmonies that Wynberg has become accustomed to.
The music boys then displayed their individual talents either
in solo acts or in small bands, each bringing their own
flavour to their instruments. Finally the touring one act
play, Kennedy’s Children finished off the evening
on a very high note. Ultimately the evening was a great
success in which the various cultural components showcased
their current and future talent.
